What Success Means To Me
Some people define SUCCESS in the terms of Monetary Value,Educational,Personal or Career Acheivements.All of these are Measurable Accounts,but SUCCESS to me,is also defined in the way you Live your Life and fulfill your Life's PURPOSE.This became increasingly evident throughout my life,when I began to take on Tasks and Achievements that constantly placed me on the Public Stage .Instead of shying away from the Responsibility to allow GOD to use my Life and Experiences to Help others,I EMBRACED IT. I will be the first to tell you I am not PERFECT. I will make Mistakes,but I try to do my best. If I fail,I learn from my mistakes and persevere.
During my Collegiate Years,I developed an EATING DISORDER .I hid this away from my Family and Friends because I was ashamed I was doing something so horrible to Myself and my Body .I was a FIRST PHASE BULLEMIC.One day my friend caught me"in the act"and immediately asked me what I was doing .I told her nothing was wrong,but she knew better.She called her mother and asked her mother to PRAY FOR ME.Her mother prayed,while I was on the phone with her,and the following day I had no Recollection of the Eating Disorder!...That's the POWER OF PRAYER! I've been free from this DISORDER since 1995 and I'm truly THANKFUL.
I've encountered HORRIBLE COMMENTS about my weight,since then,that could've Discouraged me,but didn't. My weight was a constant issue on Cycle 1 of America's Next Top Model. Many times my feelings were hurt because once again I was placed on a NATIONAL STAGE to address a Private Issue .I decided to use "This New Vehicle of Publicity",to work with young girls on BUILDING POSITIVE SELF-ESTEEM and LIVING A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE. Now I am a Working Model and Actress. I use my platform to instill in young girls that It's not about being skinny...IT'S ABOUT LIVING
