Everyone is born with a need for love, and as we grow older we begin to understand that what most of us seek is unconditional love. It is not always easy to find, some people may not even know where to look for such a treasure. But when you have discovered and receive such a gift, you know it and there is nothing in this world like it.
I was loved by my family and cared for by friends and teachers. All of these important people served to build my confidence and push me toward goals in life. They have all taught me invaluable lessons that have lead me to my ultimate success. That success came with five small words, “I love you too Mommy”. From my son I have succeeded in finding that elusive unconditional love.
Mother and child should have a strong bond and I felt that mutual love between myself and my son the moment they placed him in my arms. Cuddling that small baby was my favorite thing to do and as he grew older it only got better. But, there was something extraordinarily special about hearing him verbally acknowledge that love between us.
I have accomplished many things in life. I went to college. I began a career. I got married to prince charming and we bought our first home. But none of that compares to the success of earning my beautiful little boy’s love and admiration.
